A BIRD'S EYE VIEW

The Indian Cancer Society is a non-government, non-profit national-level organization dedicated to spreading awareness and information about cancer, as well as providing cure and treatment for patients in India. For this organization, we have been working on media outreach to commemorate and observe key events or days relevant to cancer awareness and research in India.

THE JOURNEY

With the Indian Cancer Society, we have partnered to execute media outreach for key events as well as globally-recognised days & initiatives. From their awareness endeavors and fundraising activities, to spreading the word about their unique childhood cancer survivors’ support group, UGAM, we have helped create compelling content, informative media releases and have obtained interview opportunities for greater visibility.

THE STRATEGY

For ICS, we have adopted a two-pronged approach to event amplification and awareness via press release dissemination across English and regional media, alongside media interviews with leading channels and podcasts. The content we create for this brand is thoroughly researched, fact-checked and verified, combined with an empathetic, human approach that normalizes the discourse around cancer by shedding light on detection, treatment and care while also recognizing the experiences & contributions of survivors, researchers and medical professionals.

INNOVATION IN ACTION

We adopted a prolonged media approach from setting up media interactions, press release dissemination to article placements across geographies (North, South, West & East) Result: The campaign was featured in 1 of the top English media podcast, 7 regional print publications across geographies, 65 online media portals

IMPACT

Via coverages across specific initiatives, like UGAM, Tata Mumbai Marathon and World Cancer Day, we were able to create advocacy among stakeholders.
